It features a new bore design from Yamaha, along with undercut toneholes and other advanced attributes. These result in an oboe with improved projection, tonal quality and intonation. The newly designed and handmade key system offers better balance for a more comfortable playing experience. The YOB-441 is made of the finest quality aged and seasoned grenadilla wood for a rich professional sound. This is the same material as used on Yamaha's Custom models and has been carefully crafted in a similar manner. The size and placement of the toneholes is also the same, giving even and accurate intonation and making the 441 a truly professional-sounding intermediate model.
