About Stainless Steel Trade Size D (5" X 5") Slotted Shim
The 260-piece stainless steel trade size D slotted shim assortment includes 5" x 5" slotted shims in various thicknesses and comes in a metal case for storage and organization. Each shim has a 1-5/8" wide slot to align or level components on motors, pumps, generators, and other machinery. Each shim includes a tab for insertion, is marked with the thickness in inches, and conforms to standard bolt and stud sizes. The shims are made from 300-series stainless steel, which offers corrosion resistance. The material may be magnetic. Shims are thin pieces of material placed between objects for a variety of uses, including added support, improved leveling, increased insulation, tighter seals, or better spacing. They also can be used to fill gaps between machine parts that are prone to wear. Shapes include round, notched, and slotted. What's in the Box?
