About Rigid Hitch 3,500 Lb Drop Axle Assembly
Complete trailer axle assembly includes 3,500 lb. 4" drop axle tube with 1-3/8" to 1-1/16" tapered spindles. (2) 1"-14 castle nuts and (2) cotter pins (2) 10" x 2-1/4" electric brakes with (2) cast iron 5 on 4½" hub/drums with bearings, (2) seals, (2) grease caps and (10) lug nuts, (2) double eye leaf springs with (4) U-bolts, (8) nuts and (2) tie plates. Axle tube is 2-3/8" diameter x 3/16" wall round tubing. Axle is supplied with loose spring seats which must be welded to the axle tube to complete the installation. Axles are manufactured with a slight camber (arch). When attaching spring seats, axle must be positioned with the arch at the top of the axle. Please note: Spring hanger kits are not included with this assembly. If you are building a SINGLE axle purchase "HK1-D100". A TANDEM set-up purchase "EK2-D102" or TRIDUM set-up use part number "EK3-D102". 9/16" x 3" spring bolts "B-101" and nuts "N-102" are also not included. All parts shipped come boxed except for the trailer axle due to overall length of the product.
