The Fluke clip-on current transformer clamp set is used to perform selective or stakeless testing with a Fluke 1623 or Fluke 1625 earth ground tester. Selective testing uses one clamp and stakes to measure ground loop resistance values for one ground electrode. Stakeless testing uses two clamps to test ground loop resistance. Both the selective and stakeless methods eliminate the need to disconnect the electrode from the grounding system for increased safety and fewer testing steps. One clamp is voltage inducing, and the other clamp is current sensing. Both clamps have a 50.8mm/2" inside diameter. Ground-resistance meters test the condition of a grounding system, and provide resistivity measurements in ohms. The meters are available in digital, analog, and clamp models. Grounding systems protect people and equipment, and provide a safe path for the dissipation of fault currents, lightning strikes, static discharges, EMI and RFI signals, and interference. Regular testing of a grounding system is important for safety and protection of equipment.
