Working alongside collaborators Lee Hazlewood and Billy Strange, she melted many a teenage boy's heart with her ice-cool, world-weary voice. How Does It Feel? is a great starting point for new fans. A collection of passed-over gems and smooth covers, it includes a deliriously funky, laid-back "Like a Rolling Stone," a suitably sleazy "Walk on the Wild Side" (no, not that one!), and a lascivious showtime reading of "You're Gonna Make Love to Me." "Sweet Talkin' Candy Man," meanwhile, is pure Nilsson.
