Filabond is a 3D printing glue designed to improve adhesion for various 3D printing filaments. It is heat activated and is most effective for glass and aluminum printing beds. It can be used on non-heated beds with a blow dryer or heat gun to activate the adhesive before printing. Application: Apply a smooth, even layer to your printing area. A spare piece of paper can be used to spread the adhesive, then discarded. It is recommended to remove the print while the bed is still hot/warm. Filabond should last several prints before needing to be re-applied. Removal: Filabond is best removed by saturating the adhesive with water or window cleaner (windex or comparable). Let sit for 5-10 minutes, and carefully scrape off with a flat razor blade. It should peel right off. Message from the founder: I'm gonna level with you. Keep your printing bed level! Filabond is not a miracle adhesive that will solve all your filament adhesion issues right out of the bottle. It is intended to be used as a tool or in conjunction with other products, but proper bed leveling and slicer settings will improve filament adhesion better than any 3D adhesive supplier can claim. Before discovering Filabond, I had been using glue sticks and experimenting with other concoctions when I stumbled on this solution. Like most 3D printers, I started using it as a hack. I found it to be an affordable and effective alternative to glue sticks. It's really as simple as that.
