About Peanut Butter And Passports: Driving Apes, Skivvy

Starting with a trip to Hawaii, he also recounts trips to Peru, Bolivia, Cuba, Canada, New Zealand and Ireland smoothly weaving his comedic narrative on practically every aspect of traveling. Peanut Butter and Passports describes solo traveling adventures, skydiving and paragliding, road trips, boat rides, hikes, the wonder (and mishaps) of scuba diving, traveling on Bolivia's Death Road visiting Machu Picchu and many hilarious anecdotes and bits of observational humor to make the read a fast, pleasant and enjoyable one.If you have not yet stood on the ocean floor, driven switchback roads or jumped out of an airplane you will feel like you have by reading this self-deprecating and humor-filled account of those very things and more. The book includes:What it is like to run off of a cliff? The numerous downsides to the front wheel of your bike falling off while cruising downhill. The awesome spectacle that is "people-watching"Why it is so difficult to avoid laughing at times when you really want to.Why drivers once saw the head of an ape behind the steering wheel of a car on the highway. The spectacular aspects of each location are highlighted with 16 full color photographs and Tom Gose dives into the absurdities involved with traveling and all of the truly entertaining views of people he met and saw along the way. The stories of his travels are melded with entertaining life experiences that impacted his decision-making process throughout the adventures. The book balances “laugh-out-loud” humor with respectful views of other cultures and explains why traveling is so important to developing a well-rounded view of the world and the people you share it with. About the Author I taught history for 25 years and served as a high school head coach for 36 seasons. My last three semesters in the classroom I was envious of cars that drove by outside my window. When i realized I was jealous of people picking up their dry cleaning, I knew it was time to make a change so I JUMPED at a chance to take early retirement. I love writing books, making people laugh and bringing some levity to what is, for many, a daily grind. I also have a speaking career in which I make young audiences aware of what a great life CAN await them if they follow the proper path and speak about Leadership, a topic which can benefit anyone. I love to lift weights and run which is very fortunate because I eat as though every hour may be my last on earth. I love to travel and simply enjoy life which will be clear in my books. I am a people-person but I enjoy animals even more so I plan to write a children's picture book soon and all sales proceeds from it will go to animal charities. I have a podcast titled Peanut Butter and Passports as well that I would love for you to check out if you are interested. Above all else, I hope you find exactly what you are looking for out of life. Thank you for visiting my page.
