About Dake 1-1/2 Model Ratchet Leverage Arbor Press With

The Dake 1-1/2 model ratchet leverage arbor press with handwheel and counterweight applies up to 3 tons of force to facilitate installation, removal, and pressing of items. The handwheel advances the ram for quick placement near the object being pressed. The ratcheted lever lowers the ram onto the object with more precision and control than the handwheel and can be set at a comfortable position for the user. The smooth action gears enable fine control over ram movement with the lever, and a counterweight repositions the lever to the top after a downstroke to reduce strain and quickly prepare for the next task. The open base and slotted table plate provide support for solid objects as well as an outlet for arbors and shafts to pass through. The plate can be removed or rotated to one of its 5 openings of varying diameters depending on the requirements of the application. The ram cap can be adjusted using the included 0.008"- and 0.015"-thick shims to adjust the ram forwards and backwards and to compensate for wear. The set screw adjusts the ram sideways. Three 0.52"-dia. holes are located on the base to enable bench mounting. Mounting hardware is not included. Press is assembled.SpecificationsLoad capacity3 tonLeverage ratio48:1Throat depth7 inchesRam size1-1/4 square sq.Max. working height above base11-1/2 inchesMax. working height above plate10-3/4 inchesMax. diameter work14 inchesMax. plate opening2 inches dia.Overall dimensions19 x 18 x 7-1/4 inches (H x W x L)Weight145 lb.H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point of the press not including ram; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; L is length, the horizontal distance from front to back.Arbor presses are hand-operated tools that apply high-pressure force to objects through a levered ram.
