About BYK-Gardner 5605 PosiTector 6000 Film
The Posi-Tector 6000 film gauge series measures coating thickness on any metal. These rugged, fully electronic gages utilize the magnetic principle to measure non-magnetic coatings on ferrous (F) substrates, and the eddy current principle to measure non-conductive coatings on non-ferrous (NF) substrates. BYK-Gardner offers various models. This model has a built-in probe. The probes are interchangeable with each other and can be ordered separately. This standard model also includes multiple calibration adjustment options (1 or 2 point of known thickness); flash display confirms a reading was taken - great for noisy environments; flip display allows for right-side-up viewing no matter how one is looking at the gage; wear-resistant probe tip; solvent, acid, oil and water resistant; protective probe cover with V-notch slides open to provide stability while measuring; illuminated back flow for dark environments; two-year warranty; built-in temperature compensation ensures accurate measurements; average, min/max, std. dev., number of readings; Hi-Lo feature auditble and visual alerts when measurement exceeds limited; lock mode prevents accidental change of settings; user-controlled time-out interval for easy shutdown; and hi contrast, monochrome display. The PosiSoft software and cable is included.
