Yes, it is perfect for fabric covered furniture. Ordering the right size and having fabric furniture will result in a good fit and a cover that stays in place. THIS IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR LEATHER. Leather is slippery and the cover will not stay in place even with the adjustable strap. Will it protect my furniture? Yes, it will protect your furniture from hair and dirt. While it will help a little with liquids, this is not water proof. This is intentional as a waterproof cover will just result in the liquids rolling onto the floor. Can I put this in the washing machine? Of course. This is machine washable and dryer safe. Directions are included with the cover. If I order it and it does't fit, can I return it? Absolutely.
