About Minoura Kickstand For Brompton
Beautifully made in Japan by Minoura, the kickstand suits a wide range of small wheeled bicycles including Birdy and Brompton. Video demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvrxP0uLnBE In general use, Brompton bicycles don't tend to require a kickstand as the bike can be parked easily by unlatching the rear triangle for parking. There are however circumstances where this is impractical and a kickstand can come in very handy indeed - particularly if you've loaded up the rear-rack. That's where the SLMV-1 comes in handy - easy to use, and neatly fitted on the bike, it in no way interferes with regular folding or riding, but adds a handy option that you can appreciate when you need it. PLEASE NOTE: for some bikes the kickstand could touch the rear wheel. You can fix it by putting some rubber o rings on it to prevent it from touching the rear wheel.
