ALWAYS be sure to safely discharge old or used capacitors. When looking for a replacement match the capacitance in microfarads (uF/MFD) and the voltage rating should higher than or equal to the original part. For instance a capacitor rated for ONLY 370V operation will not work at 440V however a 440 Volt rated capacitor will work at 370 Volts. Match the terminal type and Hz. Size and shape are generally only important if space is limited.
