The Original Schmidt concrete rebound test hammer was invented by Proceq and introduced to the market in the early 1950's. Since that time it has become the world's first and most widely used instrument for non-destructive estimation of concrete strength and also properties of asphalt, mortar, rock and paper rolls. The Original Schmidt Concrete Test Hammer measures the rebound value R which has a specific relationship to the hardness and strength of concrete. Use is simple, just position the hammer perpendicular to and against the test surface. Push the hammer against the surface at moderate speed until the impact is triggered.
