We designed the blueprint tube for our architect friends looking to dazzle their clients while revealing their project blueprints. But like nicolas cage knew in national treasure, a handsome leather tube like this can be used for carrying much more than blueprints. How about the constitution of the united states of america? This beautifully hand-stitched, vegetable-tanned leather carrying case is just waiting for you to stuff it full of maps, artwork, and posters-anything large, flat and ready to roll. The matching leather shoulder strap is permanently attached to the lid, because unlike pandora's box, this tube stays shut when you want it to. And of course, we finish it with our super-secret, homemade weatherproofing dressing, making sure that your tube is built to handle the elements. 4-5oz vegetable-tanned leather is used in the making of the tube. The leather is cut, edged, dyed, burnished, finished with a waterproofing preserving blend, stitched together, and assembled with hardware in my workshop. Adjustable shoulder strap is permanently attached with a riveted d-ring near the base of the tube. The shoulder strap also holds the lid on, and is adjustable to carrying length.
