Apex Bacto Agar is a more purified agar in which extraneous matter, pigmented portions and detrimental ions such as iron and copper are reduced to a minimum. Apex Bacto Agar has also been optimized for beneficial calcium and magnesium and is recommended for clinical applications, transformation studies, and bacterial molecular genetics applications. All Apex growth media components, including agar, tryptone and yeast extract, are bacteriological grade for maximum efficiency and lot certified to assure consistent results.
