Our Blue ESR Meter Kit has been very popular since 2007. This is the latest Bob Parker design and successor to the famous Dick Smith MKII ESR and Low Ohms Meter. This is handy and affordable ESR meter measures capacitor equivalent series resistance (ESR) for capacitors >1uF and up to 450V. ESR is a very important quality and performance characteristic of capacitors greater than 1 uF. This meter makes measurements which are often impossible to check with capacitance meters. It also can be used to assess health for LV alkaline/rechargeable batteries, find shorts on PCBs, inductive coil shorts and for assessing incoming quality assurance of components. quality assurance of components and can also be used to test the low resistance grounding of ANSI/ESD S20.20, ANSI/ESD S6.1, ESD TR20.20 and compliance verification for grounding systems. Includes quality test leads with banana jacks, basic alligator clips, easy-access battery compartment and on-board diagnostics to detect assembly errors. You can add the optional croc clips and/or probes or use your own. This has the MkII firmware, Bob's latest version developed over many years. It can accurately test ESR down to an internal battery voltage of 5.5 volts. It has a full 1yr warranty on parts from Anatek.
