Athletic. How did you come up with the idea for this product? At Recon, we’re passionate about sports and technology. We wanted to combine those passions to help athletes and fitness enthusiasts train smarter and live every moment to the fullest. We realized early on that, to do so, we needed to develop a product that delivered the right information at exactly the right time without being distracting. What makes your product special? Jet is the first fitness wearable to deliver key activity-specific information directly below the athlete’s eye. That’s a game changer, because it allows athletes to maintain form and focus without missing out on key data. Also, even though Jet is packed with really powerful technology, it’s simultaneously tough, stylish, and super comfortable to wear. What has been the best part of your startup experience? In June 2015, we were acquired by Intel. This has allowed us to do three things: lower Jet’s price, double down on the development of new features, and do more to support third-party developers writing Jet apps.
