About Liberty Supply Stainless Steel Maple Taps, Sap

5 taps per package. Manufactured from 304 stainless steel, these taps have been field tested and perform flawlessly under high vacuum with 5/16” tubing. It is recommended that you use a rubber or plastic head hammer so that you do not damage the taps. Tubing pushes right on to the barbed end of these taps. Taps can be used for collecting sap through tubing either in a tubing system or jut using 5/16 tubing to gravity feed a jug, pail, or tank at the base of your tree. -Can be cleaned by boiling in water each season to improve sap yield. -Made to last a lifetime with proper care. -Use a 5/16" drill bit to drill a hole into your tree and simply hammer this tap into place. -Made in USA.
