The Whirl-Pak Stand-Up Sterile Polyethylene Bag: these great bags roll up very tightly, and are individually sterilized and sealed. The 1 liter capacity of these bags make them great for using to purify water (using chlorine dioxide tablets, for example, which are usually able to purify one liter of water). When filled, the gusset on the bottom flattens out and enables the bag to stand on its own. Simply fold the top of the bag over three times and close with the puncture-proof tabs. This creates a leak proof seal, preventing impurities from entering the bag. These bags are very durable, and compact very well. You could easily put several in your small survival kit, and use them for water collection and purification, a vegetation still, and more. Another benefit is that these bags can be frozen to any temperature. Having a pack of three in your survival kit means that you can treat three liters of water, and then once they are all treated, you can rotate out drinking and treating your water. That way, you always have a purified source to drink while you are treating, since treating usually takes several hours. 36 oz.
