Imagine one day you wake up and your life seems to be going perfectly: your business is thriving, the love of your life just sent you an adoring text, even your golf game is at its best! You’re successful, have a strong network of friends, and most importantly, your family is healthy. You’re patting yourself on the back and you whisper: ‘Life is good.’ Then BAM! You get hit with the absolute worst news of all: You have cancer. This is my story, one that caused me to question my whole existence. What matters most to me? How did I get here? This led me to seek clues about my childhood, including the most enigmatic person in my life. Forever unflappable, forever in a good mood, forever Genki, I made it my mission to understand the most mysterious person I have ever known: my own father, Yosh Kinjo.
