The shape of this watch is named: Seiko fans are called "Samurai" because of the angular design that looks like they were ripped with a Japanese sword. The dial of this design was inspired by the underwater view of the diver shining as the sun reflects the surface. Light blue minute hands and bezel markings provide high visibility in deep water. Silicone strap reads "Dive Instructors Association". The in-house mechanical 4r35 caliber movement operates on a 40 hour power reserve and is water resistant up to 200 meters.
