Amuse your friends and irritate your enemies with weird noises.
Space Crickets (TM) make bizarre clicking, buzzing, laser and zapping sounds. Make at least three different types of sounds (the basic buzz, the cricket zap, and the space harp). Learn to make all three!
Space Crickets is a durable, quality product. Made of metal only. No plastics. Wire is stainless steel, balls are hardened steel, and wire-ball attachment is lead-free tin-silver solder and nothing else! Space Crickets is lead-free and cadmium-free. Balls are very securely attached and will never break off (we guarantee it!).
Space Crickets make wild and bizarre sound effects suitable for music, video or game production.
Made in the USA! Seriously, we attach the balls by soldering at Space Crickets headquarters in Virginia.
Space Crickets (TM) is a small instrument that makes bizarre clicking, buzzing and zapping sounds. You play it with your hands, and can use your mouth to βbendβ the notes, similar to a mouth harp. At least 3 types of sounds can be made: the Basic Buzz, the Cricket Zap, and the Space Harp. Learn to make all three! Instructions included on card. Space Crickets have two hardened steel balls attached to ends of a stainless steel wire handle. Squeezing the wire handle causes the balls to collide and bounce. The balls bounce many times, making your favorite weird and annoying noises. The steel balls are attached with lead-free tin-silver solder. There are absolutely no toxic materials (no lead, no paints etc) used in the Space Crickets. The stainless steel wire and tin-solver solder will not rust or corrode. However, the balls are case-hardened 52100 chrome steel and will rust if exposed to salt water. To prevent rust, coat the balls with a thin film of mineral oil. Rust can be easily removed with sandpaper (use 400 or 600 grit or a buffing wheel). Balls are not harmed by sanding. Space Crickets come with mineral oil on the balls. Caution: some people find the noises extremely irritating, especially when someone else is playing their Space Crickets.
