This clip-on thermostat will sense the temperature increase in the evaporator during the defrost process, and will cycle the defrost heater off after the ice or frost is melted. Install ＆ Use: Defrost thermostat is used in refrigerator or freezer. Defrost thermostat is located inside the freezer compartment either directly mounted to the evaporator or indirectly mounted to the evaporator. It has two wires (7.9”) that connect inline with the heater and a clip on the body of the thermostat that allows it to latch onto the evaporator tubing.
