Malt Extract Agar Premix is suitable for all types of mushrooms. Malt Extract Agar (MEA) is commonly used by mushroom growers and provides essential nutrition for mycelium. Easily make your own Malt Extract Agar (MEA) plates with MEA Premix made by Mushroom Merchant. Formulated with the mushroom grower in mind, each pack comes with 100 grams of MEA Premix, a scoop, and easy-to-follow instructions. Simply mix, PC, and pour your own agar plates. A packet of 100 grams makes 2 liters of agar, which yields around 75-100 standard 90 mm agar plates. Petri dishes are sold separately. The high quality agar used has excellent gel strength and is perfect for agar plates. Made with Light Malt Extract and agar at a ratio of 3:2, respectively, your mycelium will have the perfect balance of nutrition. MEA is a tried-and-true favorite of mycologists and other scientists alike for its effectiveness, ease of use, and reliability. Malt Extract Agar is used to grow mushroom mycelium and is useful for many other applications as well. Instructions are included and easy to follow. No scale is necessary for measuring. A scoop is also provided for accurate measuring. Each level scoop holds 10 grams, simplifying the process even further. For every liter of water, use 5 scoops (50 grams).
