EASY DIY FIX: 4387503 Refrigerator Bimetal Defrost Thermostat has two wires (7.9” ) that connect inline with the heater and a clip on the body of the thermostat that allows it to latch onto the evaporator tubing. This clip-on thermostat will sense the temperature increase in the evaporator during the defrost process, and will cycle the defrost heater off after the ice or frost is melted.
