This is a heavy duty extension/enclosure/box/mount for the Ubiquiti Unifi Turret AI, G5 Turret Ultra, and G6 Turret cameras. The plastic enclosure attaches directly to the Turret base plate using small screws (included). This is a great way to extend the camera from your mounting surface in special cases. A classic example is mounting the camera under your soffit and a trim board or gutter is in the way. The other advantage to this enclosure is that it can completely contain the ethernet cable from the camera as well as the weather-sealed ethernet connector (except the 0.75" height which WILL NOT contain the weather-sealed ethernet connector). In many applications, it is not possible or desirable to drill a large hole to pass this connector through, so this enclosure lets you contain everything right behind the camera, and it is sleeker than a large junction box. Especially if you are replacing an older Bullet camera with a Turret where you already have an existing cable protruding from the wall or ceiling, you won't want to have to try drilling out a bigger hole for the new connector. The outer diameter of this enclosure is 118mm (4.65 inches) and we make them in several heights. These tubes can be stacked to add length, and they will also attach directly to a single gang electrical box or a round box with 2.75" hole spacing (screws included). The shortest variant is just 1.5" tall and the weatherproof connector can still be completely contained within the enclosure, but if you are working with thick outdoor/shielded ethernet cable, it may be difficult to get it to bend tightly enough to fit, so one of the larger enclosures may be preferred (but the short one will definitely work). Stainless steel screws are included with each camera mount/enclosure to attach the camera to the enclosure and attach the enclosure to your surface. If you are attaching to drywall or masonry then you will need to supply plastic wall anchors (readily and cheaply available at any hardware store). These are 3D printed ASA parts which we make in-house (so you can expect some small aesthetic imperfections). ASA is an outdoor plastic with excellent weather and UV resistance (unlike many other plastics being used for 3D printing). ASA also accepts paint nicely, which will be useful if you plan to paint these to match your house colors. We suggest using a primer before painting.
