Review "A fantastic CD from start to finish! Remember the name Hannas Reef " -- Frank Edwards, Tropical Pleasures magazine, May, 2004 "Reminiscient of Buffett albums such as "Changes in Latitudes", and "Son of a Sailor" -- Janie Ferguson, Caribbean Charters, May, 2004 Product Description Hanna's Reef is the premier 'Texas Beach Band'. Based out of the Galveston Bay-Port Arthur area, this band knows all about life on the Texas coast. In fact, the band's name comes from a popular fishing spot in Galveston Bay, near where the band members live. Hanna's Reef blends a mixture of classic Jimmy Buffett cover tunes with their own extensive catalog of original beach (and sailing) songs. And just for fun, they throw in other 'tropical' cover tunes to complete their repertoire. Hanna's Reef performs regularly throughout the Gulf Coast area, from Corpus Christi, TX, on over to Pensacola, FL. In addition, the band performs throughout the state of Texas. Their brand of 'fun in the sun', tropical music is always a welcome breath of fresh air wherever they perform. With eight members, the band is able to create a full blown 'luau' atmosphere on stage. They combine the tropical elements of steel drums and Latin percussion with the driving beat of a rock and roll band. But they don't forget their roots: you'll hear a little bit of 'Texas' music mixed in occasionally, as well as songs with a distinctive 'Cajun' influence, in their show. 'Great songwriting, performance, production & recording! It's a Gulf Coast Tropical 'drop-out-and-live-on-a-boat' theme all the way thru. I'm proud to say I know 'em' - Kelly McGuire, Redfish Island Records 'The new CD is great! You guys are 'right on' with every song, vocals and all playing are exceptional! It is my new 'break' CD!' - David Waugh (aka'Coconut Dave') '....you are sitting on a couple of monster hits with both 'Beer Drinkers And Sail Raisers', and 'Living Well'. I'm 100 percent serious.' - Jim Hoehn, Brookfield, WI 'Hanna's Reef is making some great music! This CD has been the only one in my player for over a week now and it's not coming out anytime soon.' -Don Walker, Galveston Bay PHC 'Deja View hit the CD player yesterday afternoon when it came in the mail and hasn't left yet. The new songs are terriffic and the remakes of the older songs are really excellent. Keep up the good work because I sure appreciate it' -R.O. Smith, Panama City Beach, FL 'You guys did it again!!! I have every one of your CD's (KWTB & HR) and they just keep getting better. When I listen to Hanna's Reef, I really do get on 'Island Time'. Keep up the good work!' -Craig Sexton, Groves, TX. 'The CD is one of the best musical investments you can make this year. LUCKY US! Hanna's Reef will be playing at MOTM again this year! Give em a listen! Texas Beach Music is hard to beat!' -Connie Gray, Austin, TX. 'The studio work on the CD was really great and I look forward to seeing Hanna's Reef live in the near future. Congratulations on a wonderful release and best wishes for your continued success.' -Shawn Walker, Houston, TX. 'The opening track, Rum In Pensacola, is worth the price of the CD by itself. If this song doesn't get some radio play, somebody missed the boat.' - Chris Mooney, Kemah, TX. 'I think you write some very good music. I hope that in the near future my wife and I will get down there and see you in person. In the meantime, I'll just be content with my CD's.' - Dennis Replin, Portage, IN 'The sound recording is dynamic and clear and it includes so many great songs I have grown to enjoy when coming to listen to the band. I especially like 'Pensacola'. Great work, guys!!!!!! -Carole Pennington, Houston, TX. About the Artist Hannas Reef has been called the "ultimate Texas Beach Band". The members of the band all grew up, and/or live, along the upper Texas coast. Since forming in July, 2002, the band has been performing their unique sound throughout the Gulf Coast area ever since. Their blend of steel drums and congas, with a rock beat, creates a distinctive sound that identifies them instantly to the listener. They combine that signature sound with fun, carefree lyrics about their lifestyle on the Gulf Coast. The result is a body of music that has been pleasing sailors, beach bums, and yes, "Parrot Heads" throughout the country for several years.
