The greens (leaves) will grow up to 3 feet tall

When they reach their full height, they will flower and then a little cluster of bulblets will begin to grow at the top, hence the name, "Top Onions," meaning they are top-setting onions.

Egyptian Walking Onions are also called "Tree Onions, Egyptian Tree Onions, Top Onions, or Perennial Onions."

Plant them in well-draining soil in spring or fall, burying the bulbs 2 inches deep and spacing them 6–10 inches apart. Provide full to partial sun and moderate water
