The Top Load Washer Suspension Rod Kit helps to dampen the movement of the washer's tub during unbalanced cycles. This kit is designed to be used with select major washing machine brands, including Whirlpool®, Maytag® and Kenmore®; check to see if your model number is compatible. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washing machine or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies.
