Included are photographs of the grand hotels and the Mount Kineo House; the steamboats that plied the waters of the lake; camps such as Camp Lucky and Camp Comfort; and the stories of both Henry Red Eagle, an Algonquin boy who at 14 was the youngest licensed guide in the state of Maine (later becoming an entertainer and author), and the hermit of Moose Island, John Cusack (not the actor).
