Also, ant farms are not designed to contain a large queen and the thousands of young she produces. Your ants will work without the queen. **How long will my ants live? They usually live 3 to 6 months. We’ve had them live as long as 8 months. **Can I use the same sand for my 2nd batch of ants? Yes.
