If you're running Ultegra BR-RS805 or 105-level BR-RS505 hydraulic disc brakes on your road bike, you can refresh your braking power with Shimano's compatible BR-RS805/RS505 Flat Mount L02A Resin Ice-Tech Disc Brake Pad. Made to help the brakes remain as cool as possible under hard braking, Ice Technology refers to an additional radiation fin pad built into the brake pad, constructed with aluminum and steel, that improves radiation performance to maintain a lower surface temperature. The resin compound that comprises the rest of the brake pad, though slightly less durable than metal, is considerably less noisy and offers better braking modulation than sintered metal, for above average braking performance in a range of slick, challenging conditions.
