The Gekkeikan Sake making technique has been passed down through 14 family generations for over 370 years, dating back to 1637. Gekkeikan is one of the oldest family-owned companies in the world. Brewed at 7 facilities in Kyoto, Japan and 1 in Folsom, CA and is exported to over 80 countries. Gekkeikan has won the National Research Institute of Brewing Gold Medal 32 times in the past 33 years.
