About MLCS 9548 Professional Deluxe Coping Safety Sled
From the Manufacturer Works perfectly for tricky cross-grain rail cuts, eliminating the need to make the router table fence and mitre slot parallel. Small and narrow cuts will be No problem. A 500 lb. holding clamp and a special abrasive strip hold your material in place once you align it flush with the outer edge. Just glide the sled along your router fence using the sturdy plastic handle. Cut into the backer block (reducing sloppy tearout), completing your cut. Backer block is replaceable, allowing use of multiple profiles. This large sled is designed with a clear base and adjustable dual fence for more strength and rigidity. This heavy duty coping sled measures 6-1/2-Inch by 16-Inch by 3/8-Inch thick and will hold up to 4-3/4-Inch wide stock. The coping sled handle can be repositioned using the pre-drilled mounting holes on the opposite of the base. This is provided for shaper and reverse feed operations. 500lb. capacity hold down clamp has heavy duty adjustable dual pad hold downs for even more strength and rigidity.
