This kit includes all you need to get razor sharp edges. We recommend you use the paste on the balsa. Use a small amount and spread it thin. A little goes a long way. Then finish your knives with the bark tanned bovine strop by itself. And yes, the balsa and bovine strops have magnetic backing.
