The shoulder pad relies heavily on mid-density (MD) foam for protection purposes as its featured throughout the shoulder pad in the key impact areas. Youll find MD foam in the sternum, front and back side panels, spine, and clavicle areas of the shoulder pad for adequate lightweight protection in those areas. The Bauer Supreme line, including the S170, features an anatomical close-to-the-body fit to optimize player movement to give increased range-of-motion for easier puck handling. A hydrophobic mesh liner is included in the S170 Supreme shoulder pad to give the liner moisture wicking and evaporation capabilities.
