SHELL The shell of the R2 is made by composite material. We use fiberglass reinforced nylon (Zytel by Du Pont) material to make the shell strong like a carbon fiber shell. The cuff area of this entry level skate is a little bit softer for more comfort. This shell is based on a skeleton. The ribs on the bottom help to build a lightweight shell but also allows fresh air to flow into the boot for a better climate in the boot. Upper and Lining Our PU nanoleather upper material is soft, yet very strong and resistant. This outstanding material wraps around the foot like a sock. We use neoprene and microfiber materials for the inside lining which provides max. comfort. Padding Our 3D anatomical padding is placed strategically around the ankle area and also the tendon area of the shoe to assure the most secure ankle and heel fit. The new speedfoam used for the padding is another advanced material used in our racing shoes. This foam is soft, but not too soft to absorb energy and still very comfortable. Step in and you will feel well from very first minute you wear the boot. The speedfoam padding does not take away space inside the shoe where you would need it, but fills up the empty spaces to give more comfort and control. This new padding makes the boot more comfortable and enhances in the overall performance. Lacing The R2 racing shoe features regular waxed laces and an additional powerstrap placed over the toe box. The R2 skate comes with a regular flap including a micro adjustable spider buckle. The buckle position can be adjusted on the buckle protector to fit wider feet. Frame High grade 6061 aluminium provides a comfortable ride. As with all our racing frames the x-frame is machined to perfection. Single axel system as standard.
