Blade is factory pre-honed only, buyer to obtain a finish hone to be Shave Ready!! This brand new Thiers-Issard straight razor has a 5/8" Wide blade with a round tip. It has black plastic scales that are water resistant and 1937 Special-Coiffeur is etched in black on a Satin finished blade. One of the worlds finest shaving instruments, as well as, a work of art and craftsmanship. Thiers-Issard has been manufacturing straight razors in France since 1884. Carbonsong C135 Steel ~ Legendary Singing Blade. Forged and ground, not cast. Very handsome looking razor. Deep coarse jimps bottom side only extending to finger notch. Included is an exquisite hand made leather travel pouch. This is a great deal on a legendary blade and will last more than a lifetime.
