About The Beginning Began With God
Where did God come from? It’s an ageless and perplexing question. The answer is out of the realm of our understanding. All we know is that He has always been, is now and always will be. Who He is can only be minimally understood by us on an elementary level. In human terms He defies explanation. The book of Genesis gives us a glimpse of who He is and what He wants to be to us. It’s also the foundation of the Bible and its sixty-five other books. The Bible is God’s story and how He reveals Himself to us. Genesis begins not at His beginning, but just before our beginning. Through the account of the lives of the men and women in Genesis we can learn much about God. People still have the same emotions, issues and inclinations – only today they’re accentuated by technology. Neither has God changed. He is still the same God and is eternal, all powerful and all knowing. Just as He had relationships with men and women in Genesis, He wants to have one with us today. He still loves us and has provided redemption for our poor judgment and sins. There is no other part of His creation He loves more than we humans. It’s easy to find life lessons as you read this book of the Bible. It spoke to me and caused me to reflect on my own life. This book of reflections reveals what I learned about God and the lessons He’s taught me in my life so far from reading the fifty chapters of Genesis.
