I thought I was grown at 13. I could have stayed but I chose to run away when I was in the sixth grade. The choice I made that day changed the course of my life. My brother and one of our friends made a pack that we would all run away together. However, when the time came as planned, we had a split second to decide if we would run or stay. Every day we would have the same routine. We always walked to school; but on this day, the principal just happened to be standing on the steps at the front door of the school.
