Lealos graduated from the Gaylord School of Journalism at the University of Oklahoma with an emphasis on professional writing. He has worked as a film critic for the last seven years and a journalist for the past 20. He created his Stephen King Dollar Baby, I Know What You Need, while a student at Oklahoma and has now met well over 20 other Dollar Baby filmmakers. He has also hosted two Dollar Baby film festivals, one at Comicpalooza in Houston, Texas and the second at Galacticon in Seattle, Washington. He currently lives with his beautiful wife Johanna and rambunctious son Ashley in Norman, Oklahoma. Shawn is starting work on his first fiction novel as a follow-up to Dollar Deal.
