About Van Air Systems 80-1499 D4 Compressed Air
The D4 System is a simple deliquescent-type compressed air drying package, ideal for protecting paint booths, blast cabinets, and sensitive pneumatic tools. The systems includes a model D4 dryer vessel, a 1 micron F200 series after-filter, and a 50 lb re-sealable pail of Dry-O-Lite desiccant. The system has no moving parts and no power requirement. Simply attach air lines to the dryer and filter, fill the dryer with Dry-O-Lite, and the system is ready to deliver clean, dry compressed air. The dryer vessel needs to be drained of liquid after each 8 hours of operation. Every 2-3 months inspect the Dry-O-Lite level by looking at the sight glass. Top off with new Dry-O-Lite tablets as necessary. Dry-O-Lite is a non-toxic, non-hazardous water absorbing tablet. The D4 System will suppress the dew point of the compressed air by approximately 20⁰ F. Spray paint, media blast, and run tools with complete confidence in a quality air supply. Locate the dryer and filter after the compressed air cooler (if installed) and after the wet receiver tank. Install before the pressure reducing regulator. Install as close to the point of use as practical. The ASME code stamped dryer vessel and cast aluminum after-filter both have a maximum pressure rating of 250 PSI. The 10 CFM nominal flow rating of the system is based on an operating pressure of 100 PSI. When operating at a higher pressure, the flow rating of the system increases. For example, at an operating pressure of 125 PSI the system has a flow rating of 12.2 CFM. At an operating pressure of 150 PSI the system has a flow rating of 14.4 CFM. Fittings and pipe for interconnecting the dryer and filter must be purchased separately: dryer connections are 3/4" NPT female; after-filter connections are 1/4" NPT female.
