Replaces silk for hand sewing, holds knots. Soft thread with a gorgeous texture that is strong and resilient. Made of 2-ply Penreco waxed nylon thread, size: Tex 23. Sold in 675-yard waxed skeins. Silamide is a twisted 2-ply thread that has a tooth to it and holds as you sew. It has a gorgeous texture, is strong and resilient. You can make a long line of "bugle" brick stitches and not fight the bugles staying together; the Silamide keeps the bugles in line.
