About Metro MW406 MW Series Stainless Steel/Chrome Plated

This Metro MW Series utility cart has four swivel casters, one solid shelf made of 18 gauge type 304 stainless steel to resist corrosion, and two wire shelves and two U-shaped handles made of chrome-finished steel for durability and to resist dirt build-up and corrosion, and is suitable for sorting, storing, and transporting items. The solid shelf on this cart has double-thick edges and epoxy-coated cast-aluminum corners for strength and stability, and raised edges to help contain liquid spills. The wire shelves have ribs that run front to back to facilitate sliding items on and off the shelves. Tapered split sleeves on the posts help hold and support the shelves. The cart has two U-shaped handles and four 5-inch/127 mm swivel casters for mobility. The casters come with donut bumpers, and both are made of rubber to help protect walls and furniture from damage. This cart is NSF International-certified for food equipment for dry storage and heated environments only. It is typically used in the food service, healthcare, and commercial products industries, but can be used for other applications to sort, store, and dispense items. The assembled utility cart is 39 x 24 x 36 inches/990 x 610 x 914 mm (H x W x L). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; L is length, the horizontal distance from front to back.) It has a 375 lb./170 kg total capacity when distributed evenly across all shelves. This cart requires assembly and comes with instructions. No tools are required for assembly, but a rubber mallet (sold separately) is recommended. Utility carts, also known as service carts, are used for securely storing, organizing, and transporting equipment, supplies, refuse, and materials. They are suitable for use in industrial, manufacturing, and maintenance applications, as well as in the home. Metro manufactures storage and transport products for the food service, healthcare, and commercial products industries. The company, founded in 1929, is headquartered in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
