This annual mix produces dazzling bright flowers in shades of white, red and rose that are nectar-rich. Hummingbirds and butterflies cannot leave Cypress Vine alone. The flowers bloom all summer long, and they benefit from deadheading. The foliage is unique and very attractive with feathery or ferny leaves. Grow Ipomoea pennata in full sun to partial shade and in well-drained soil. It is recommended to soak the seed in warm water for few hours before planting. Plant the seed directly outdoors after frost danger has passed. Cover the seed with 1/8 inch of soil and keep it moist. With a temperature of 70F, germination is usually within 14 days. Thin seedlings to 9 – 12 inches apart.
