About Solar Powered LED Beacon - 3 Watt LED Beacon

Solar powered LED beacon - 3 watt LED beacon - continuous use(-surface mount-white-on/off switch). the Larson Electronics spledb-3 solar powered LED beacon is an innovative lighting solution suited for applications requiring a high visibility strobing beacon capable of standalone operation. This continuous operation capable solar powered LED beacon (strobing) light produces a brilliant strobing flash that is visible for distances of up to one mile. A 3.6 watt LED strobe light is powered by a 10AH sealed lead acid battery that is automatically recharged during daylight hours by a 12 watt solar panel. The 12 watt solar panel recharges the battery in 5 hours with direct sunlight and can power the beacon for 15 hours with a full charge. As with all solar powered Equipment, charging time is affected by the amount of available ambient light. When ambient light levels drop below a certain level, such as on very cloudy days, the unit will not recharge. The solar panel is weatherproof and designed to catch the maximum amount of sunlight possible when properly mounted. The mounting apparatus is designed to allow a variety of mounting options including flat surfaces such as a wall and square or round pole mounting. The beacon is connected to the panel by a 20 foot soow cord that provides flexibility for positioning of the solar panel and beacon into their respective optimum locations. The sealed lead acid battery pack is contained within the solar panel, not the light. This solar panel can be equipped with either a day/night sensor and a motion sensor or with an on/off switch. The day/night sensor is programmed to activate the solar panel in the evening and to shut it off during the day while the motion sensor will activate the panel upon detecting motion. The on/off switch will activate and shut off the solar panel according to the operator preferences. The operator can switch between modes with a toggle switch.
