About PYR Test Kit, For Identification Of Group A Strep
Hardy Diagnostics PYR Test Kit and PYR Reagent are recommended for the detection of pyrolidonyl arylamidase (also called pyrolidonyl aminopeptidase) activity in certain groups of bacteria, such as Streptococcus pyogenes (group A strep), Enterococcus spp., some coagulase negative staphylococci, and some Enterobacteriaceae. A rapid test for Group A Strep and Enterococcus, both of which are positive, all other streps are negative, a more reliable test for Group A Strep than bacitracin. The Hardy Diagnostics manufacturing facility and quality management system comply with cGMP's and have achieved ISO 13485 certification as a medical device manufacturer.
