About Kimble Kimax 14005-4000 Glass Heavy-Duty Low Form

The Kimble Kimax KG-33 borosilicate glass, round, Griffin-style, graduated beaker with spout has white double-scale markings and is available in a variety of sizes (250-, 400-, 600-, 2000-, and 4000-mL). It is made of clear KG-33 borosilicate glass for durability and chemical- and temperature-resistance. Extra thick walls have uniform thickness and an evenly tooled top rim for long life in harder than normal conditions, including mechanical shock. The beaker is not intended for use on a hot plate where significant thermal gradients exist due to lack of agitation of contents, or where there is an absence of temperature control. It has a white matte-finish marking area designed for use with an ordinary pencil, and meets the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) E960, Type II specifications. KG-33 borosilicate glass has a low coefficient of thermal expansion, very high resistance to chemical attack, and produces heavy walls that minimize the risk of mechanical breakage when heat is applied. Beakers are used for measurement, quality testing, sampling, and research, and in lab applications in chemistry, education, research, and life science applications. Kimble Chase Life Science and Research Products manufactures scientific laboratory glassware under the Kimble Kimax brand. The company, founded in 2007 and headquartered in Vineland, NJ, has its origins in Kimble Glass and Kontes Glass, and is now a division of The Gerresheimer Group.
