Gabriel's caged piston design is straightforward and durable. It is based on coil spring technology, designed to be more durable than competitors' multi-disc valve designs, and is validated for durability to 2,000,000 cycles. Self-compensating piston seal design maintains performance throughout shock life. 360 Degree arc-welded solid steel eye-ring end mounts for greater tensile strength (excluding some 83000 series). Outstanding fade performance. Hydraulic rebound stop - where required by design. High temperature fluid and fluid seal for optimal operation under extreme heat conditions. Hardened, super-finished chromed piston rods that resist corrosion and reduce wear resulting in longer shock life.
