About UPrep® Midi Anion-Exchange Tips, Gravity Flow

UPrep Anion-Exchange columns allow you to use the remaining solutions from your large scale plasmid Midi and Maxi kits. Don’t throw away or store your left over purification kit solutions...UPrep them! The unique resin in UPrep Anion-Exchange columns was developed exclusively for the purification of ultrapure supercoiled plasmid DNA. UPrep Midi and Maxi disposable columns operate by gravity flow and never run dry, minimizing the hands-on time required for plasmid preparation. UPrep columns exhibit exceptional separation properties that result in DNA purity and yields comparable to that obtained by kit-supplied columns. Simply follow your kit manufacturer’s plasmid purification protocol using UPrep Midi or Maxi columns where necessary. Use with Qiagen plasmid buffer set cat# 19046 and save! Plasmid binding capacities of UPrep Midi and Maxi columns are approximately 20-100µg and 100-500µg respectively, depending on the kit manufacturer’s recommended culture volumes for high or low-copy plasmids. Actual yields will depend on culture volume, culture medium, plasmid copy number, size of insert, and host strain. For more details, consult your kit manufacturer's protocol.
